ET LE DIABLE RIT AVEC MOI
“AND THE DEVIL LAUGHS WITH ME”
France | 2017 | 25 minutes | Director: Rémy Barbe
Samuel is sensitive. Samuel is lonely. Samuel only lives for hardcore punk music and underground horror movies. Samuel suffers from being misunderstood. Samuel often recalls his ex-girlfriend, Eva. Samuel, in painful moments, also speaks to
the Devil.
Rémy Barbe, born December 25, 1993, in the north of France, he is a director, writer and editor. He created the collective "Les Films de la Mouche" in 2012, known for his proposals for a different kind of cinema, heavily influenced by horror, fantasy, thriller and surreal/experimental films from the 1960s to the present day.
Since 2014, the collective has three members: Joseph Bouquin, Joséphine Hopkins and himself. Its ambition as an independent collective is to bring a new artistic vision within the French film industry, and to prove that "genre" and "artistic" films can be compatible by proposing a balance between visceral emotions and intellectual vision.
