Crisis Jung

Welcome to a world ravaged by explosions of violence, a world without love. Jung, the broken-hearted hero, pursues his quest: to reconstitute his lost love Maria, savagely decapitated by Little Jesus. He can count on the support of the allies he’s met along his bloody path, allies who will teach him much about others, but above all about himself. He also has to deal with his outbursts of violence, an incontrollable curse whose source lies deep in his heart.

Born in 1980 in Nimes, France, Baptiste Gaubert was raised in an artisan family. Like many kids, he drew a lot. As his mother is a ceramist, he discovered very early on how to interpret and translate his drawings into volume. Even now, Gobi considers his sense of volume one of the most valuable things he ever learned in design. Children’s TV shows also contributed to the expansion of Gobi’s imagination thanks to the massive importation of Japanese and American animated series during his more formative years. During the 90’s, Gobi discovered video games and was overwhelmed by their amazing universes and characters. Around the same time he also had access to movies reserved to an older audience like Robocop or Terminator.

Gobi decided to take an art class in High School. There he met Bill, and together they pursued to further their education in Illustration at the ESAD School of Art in Strasbourg. It was there that they met Fabien Mense. Gobi graduated in 2003, and began working for Tchô magazine on his first published comic book with Bill: ‘The Zblucops’. Later, Gobi took part in the ‘Lucha Libre’ comic anthology along with Fabien and Bill for which Gobi created the ‘Tequila’ series with Jerry Frissen. Then he made his own "Goligo" comic book (published by Glenat), and co-directed "Sidera" animated parts in "Lou" feature film by Julien Neel. "Crisis Jung" is his first animated series, co-directed with Jeremie Hoarau, and co-created with Jeremie Perin.

At the age of 7, Jérémie Hoarau directed "Fabienne Dupond" with two friends whom he will meet again 15 years later. Meanwhile, we can not say that he's been putting in too much effort. But he's been catching up. He has worked on many TV series like "The Island in Lili", "Boyster" and feature films such as "April and the Extraordinary World", "The Swallows of Kabul". In 2016, he was assistant director on the animated series "Lastman". He signs his first production work with "Crisis Jung".

Baptiste Gaubert and Jérémie Hoarau are french directors, screenwriters and digital animators who have previously worked together on "Lastman", a French animated series winner of two Emile Awards in 2017, an European animation awards ceremony.
