Alarmed by a strange noise, army private Edward Davis, deployed at a top secret research facility darts for the restricted superposition unit, only to find it no longer exists. Disconcerted, he sets on a trail to find out the truth, hardly aware that he is now being followed by a mysterious presence whose reality exists independent of his conscious mind.
