Fry Day

“Fry Day” is a coming-of-age tale with a dark twist. Set against the backdrop of the execution of Ted Bundy in 1989, the story centers around a16-year-old girl who makes a little extra money by taking and selling Polaroids of the people who are camped out near the prison, celebrating the execution.

Laura Moss’s work has screened at MoMA, Anthology Film Archives and the Boston International Film Festival, where she was awarded Best Director. Her spec commercial Saran Wrap: Murder was honored with an AICP award in 2015. She is a 2016 recipient of the David Ross Fetzer Foundation award for Emerging Artists. Her work as a production designer has screened at Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Telluride and Clermont-Ferrand. Laura recently completed her studies in NYU's graduate film program. Her first feature screenplay, ‘Gordon’, currently in development, was selected by IFP for their Emerging Storyteller’s Program, as well as NYU's Purple List.
