On a lonely mountain highway, troubled teen hitchhiker Hester Black receives phantom news broadcasts from the near future bearing ominous news.

 

Vanessa Gazy is an award-winning Australian writer/director signed to Matt Rosen at Grandview LA. She has three feature films in development, including ACT Screen Arts Fund 2017 recipient BLUEBELLE, for which she has been mentored by Sundance Story Lab Advisor Lynette Wallworth and by Oscar nominee Luke Davies (LION). Vanessa is currently adapting HIGHWAY to a feature film.

Vanessa is a Sundance Audience Award recipient for her work producing Matthew Lessner’s short Chapel Perilous (2014). She was the winner of the 2013 Shoalhaven Literary Award for her short story "Adam's Window".
