the Director

Alexander Stephens is an award-winning Director of Photography and Director from Northern Colorado that has been growing as a filmmaker since 2017. After nearly 10 years in the United States Air Force, he was medically retired and is now a disabled veteran pursuing his dream to be a full-time filmmaker. Over the past 4 years, he has worked on many music videos, short films, and commercials that have been screened at Denver Film Festival, Filmquest, and many other film festivals both domestically and internationally. As a fan of the format of visual storytelling, he continues to seek out new and innovative ways to bring stories to life and is always excited to collaborate with other talented filmmakers who share his passion for filmmaking.

When a group of criminal thugs come to threaten his family, a young man named Nonoy finds an amulet amidst his family belongings and unlocks the secrets of a power entrusted unto him by his grandfather. He awakens the consciousness of Crisostomo Ytum, a Hangaway sang Puti nga Kabal (Warrior of the White Energy), who has fought evil for a long time, and is now destined to fight new threats looming from the darkness of evil.

Raymund Salao has been a writer, visual artist, musician, and poet, but his main passion is filmmaking. Growing up in the Betamax and VHS age, his life has always had cinema around him. While other kids spent more time on sports and outdoor activities, Raymund spent more time on video rental shops, and in front of the TV. which did not stop on just movies, but also on "Making of" documentaries which were made back in the day. And just like any other geeky kid, he was fixated the most on the sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and action adventure genres of cinema. Up until adulthood, he has reverence for the icons of genre cinema, the likes of Paul Verhoeven, Tom Savini, George Lucas, Sam Raimi, and the many other heroes of genre cinema because these were inspirations of the love of genre cinema and the hopes of getting the chance to become one of his heroes as well.

Francisco Lacerda is a filmmaker from S. Miguel, Azores. His short films have been categorised as a sub-genre of Portuguese fantastic cinema dubbed "Azoresploitation" and have been screened in multiple film festivals worldwide including Slamdance, Motelx, Calgary, Imagine and Mórbido Film Fest to name a few. He continues to expand upon the "Azoresploitation" catalogue with each new film, his latest being a take on the Euro-western genre.

The Great Kazakh Steppe, XVII century. Times when myths often turned out to be true. A girl named Inkar is forced to flee after an unsuccessful magical ritual. Now the evil spirits wants to possess Inkar's body and her hereditary gift. On the way she meets two fugitive brothers, with the help of whom she hopes to cross the Great Sea. But will the heroes survive this road?

 

the DIREcTOR

Raiymbek was born in 1994, on the 21st of February, on a sunny Monday in Almaty, Kazakhstan. From an early childhood, he loved Lego and as he got older, he tried to create mise-en-scenes and tell stories like in his favorite comics with the help of a construction kit and a film camera. During his school years, he was fond of stage fighting, dancing and performing in amateur theater. In 2017, he graduated from the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov with a degree in directing narrative film, and in 2019 he completed an internship at NYFA, in Los Angeles. In his "Mergen" and "Inkar", the author tries himself in the genre of folklore fantasy with a reference to one of the most difficult periods in Kazakh history.

Sasha hands her phone over to repair, where the strange girl promises to fix the device. The next morning Sasha discovers the loss of ... her face.

Born in 1995 in Barnaul. I live and work in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I was graduated from VGIK, dramaturgy of cinema, and the Moscow School of Cinematography - the course "Showrunner". I work as an assistant creative producer on the second season of the TV series "Pishcheblok". As a screenwriter, I wrote such projects as Fem is (TV series), Post-Soviet Symphony by Alexey Evstigneev.

Jamilia Azizova was born in the city of Arkhangelsk, lives in London.

She is brilliantly graduated from the directing class at the School of Drama with the highest score.

Jamilia shoots music videos and works with different artists performing music of different genres. She also writes screenplays for TV shows and feature films.

In 2022, Jamilia completed the short film "Shadows" in which she acted as a producer, screenwriter and director.

Simon Heymans lives in Brussels with his wife and two sons. He likes to write dark contemporary stories. Before directing films and commercials he worked in the corporate sector, a life changing experience. He holds a Master of Science in Business Engineering.

He is currently working on his first feature film, “Fractal”, a financial thriller in co-production with Bidibul Productions. His film was selected at the Atelier Grand Nord 2017. His latest shortfilm, Diversion, is currently touring the festival world (Brussels Shortfilm Festival, LA Shortfest, BIFFF, Rhode Island international film festival...).

Venezuelan. Bachelor in Social Communications and Cinema. In 2015 his short film “Arachnids” premiered in Clermont-Ferrand, followed by FICCI 2015 and many festivals around the world and won several prizes. “Arachnids” was nominated for Condor de Plata, Argentina Academy Awards for best short film. In 2017 his first film HARPOON was premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival in the official competition for new directors, the Chicago International Film Festival, Torino Film Festival in the main competition. Also La Habana, Valladolid, Göteborg, Sao Paulo. In 2020 won “Historias Breves”, the Argentinian grant for short films for his project "Reds". In 2023 will be Visual Stage Director for the project "eau-fort" by French playwright Guillaume Poix, the project is supported by Institute Français Argentine and French Embassy in Venezuela.
