The year is 1961. Jackie and Terry Bumbry are a mixed race couple who have a paranormal encounter with a bright light in the sky while driving near Mount Shasta. They report their experience to local law enforcement, who bring in a psychologist to assess the situation. But as Jackie tells her story to the doctor she comes to realize that there may be ulterior motives at play.

Jay K. Raja is a filmmaker born, raised, and based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Television in 2011, his LGBT sci-fi short ‘The Drop’ was nominated by the ASC for their Student Heritage Award and continued onto a successful festival run. Since then, he’s been producing, directing, and writing films, commercials, and music videos as a freelancer and as a team with producing partner Roth Rind. For his own films, Raja has focused on science fiction, using it as a platform to question social norms and dive into interpersonal conflicts. For most of his life, he was staunchly a dog person, although recently has met cats that have changed his views.
