Two sisters from a broken family chant a summoning ritual in the hope it might improve their bleak lives, but they do not anticipate the irreversible consequences of what they summon.

THE DIRECTOR

Michael Anthony Kratochvil is an award winning Writer and Director and first class honours graduate of the VCA School of Film & Television, Monash University and alumnus of Edinburgh International Film Festival Talent Lab 2012 (Winner of ‘Best Pitch’) and Film Victoria Catapult Lab 2016. His short films have screened at multiple Academy and BAFTA accredited festivals worldwide, including Palm Springs, Slamdance and Edinburgh. His screenplays have placed in the semifinals at Austin Film Festival and quarterfinals at Slamdance. He was runner up for the 2016 John Hinde Award For Excellence in Science Fiction and inducted into the AWG Pathways program with the script ‘THE PARADISE SYNDROME’, which secured him LA based management at Authentic Talent & Literary Management. His debut feature as a Writer/Director ‘JUDETH’ was granted development funding through Film Victoria in both 2016 and in 2018. He has recently been working with Truant Pictures / Animal Logic on a feature script ‘BIOHACKERS’ and was granted Screen Australia development funding to write the first draft. He is currently in post production on two new short films, 'I CALL UPON THEE' and 'SWEET MARY, WHERE DID YOU GO?'.
